2018 MPC Annual Luncheon

The annual Metropolitan Planning Council Luncheon gathers 1,000 civic and corporate leaders together in support of MPC’s effective efforts to ensure that the Chicago metropolitan area continues to unlock its potential as an exceptional place to live and work.

The keynote, Lonnie G. Bunch III, founding director of the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture and former president and director of the Chicago History Museum, will discuss how history and culture are essential to a vibrant community and healthy economy.

MPC will honor Patrick G. Ryan, Chairman and CEO of Ryan Specialty Group, with the 2018 Champion Fighter Award.

For over 80 years, the Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC) has made the Chicago region a better place to live and work by partnering with businesses, communities and governments to address the area’s toughest planning and development challenges.
