The Field Museum
2018 Women in Science Luncheon
Proceeds from the Women in Science Luncheon support dedicated opportunities at the Museum for young women who aspire to science or STEM careers. The Field provides annual summer internships for high school and undergraduate students, graduate fellowships, and—new in 2018—a post-doctoral research position. In addition, the Field Museum Women in Science program actively advocates for the participation of women in science through 50 activities per year including a lecture and symposium series, networking events, and learning activities for more than 1,000 members. Through the Women in Science Luncheon, the Women’s Board is the primary funder and the Museum’s lead partner in these efforts.Keynote Speaker: Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE,
Founder, the Jane Goodall Institute, UN Messenger of Peace
