Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana
Tribute to Achievement Dinner
We are saddened to announce, Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana is canceling the Tribute to Achievement celebration and fund-raising dinner scheduled for Wednesday, March 25 out of respect and concern for the health and safety of our girl participants, honorees, corporate partners, and all dinner guests amidst the growing impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
Depending on how the pandemic continues to progress, the economic impact on our local families may be severe. Without the financial assistance scholarships generated through Tribute to Achievement dinner, those girls will be the first ones who are unable to continue their participation in Girl Scout activities. This cannot happen.
It is our hope that you will Stand For More on behalf of every girl we serve now and in the future. We are sharing the link for our proxy paddle-raise and asking you to consider making a donation to this important work as if we had been able to share the evening and program together on March 25. Your support has real impact on the girls we serve, and we thank you for continued commitment to Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana.
Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana provides more than 53,000 girls in our community exceptional experiences that enrich girls’ life skills, energize their passions and empower them to go after their big dreams. Our girls mean business. As Girl Scouts, they’re part of a world that embraces gender equity, workforce readiness and respect for all. They explore careers in STEM and business; they engage in inspirational conversations with women mentors during programs like Camp CEO and Project Law Track; and they cultivate cross-cultural friendships that are a foundation for their future.
