2026 marks After School Matter's 35th anniversary celebrating 35 years of impact through paid teen program opportunities that transform young people's lives and the city of Chicago. The After School Matters Gala brings together Chicago’s leaders for an evening of teen showcases, fabulous food and drinks, and networking to celebrate the incredible accomplishments our youth, while raising important revenue to continue providing 25,000 opportunities each year for Chicago teens to learn new skills, find mentors, earn money, and prepare for the future.

About After School Matters

Since 1991, After School Matters’ innovative and engaging after-school and summer programs have served more than 350,000 teens from communities throughout Chicago, providing them with opportunities to explore and develop their talents, while gaining critical skills for success in college, careers and beyond.
