The last weeks have seemed like an eternity as we all follow in disbelief, the news of the devastating COVID-19 pandemic.  Due to the appropriate bans and restrictive guidelines of the State of Illinois, the CDC, the United States federal government, and others, City Year Chicago’s Ripples of Hope Dinner, scheduled for May 7, has been cancelled. While we know this is the correct course of action for the health and safety of us all, we are simply heartbroken that we will not be able gather with our friends and supporters in support of our work.

Ripples is our largest and most important fundraiser of the year, generating critical revenue for our programs.  Canceling it does not cancel the needs of the 15,500 CPS students who we are helping to build better futures. Last year’s dinner was a record-breaking success, allowing City Year Chicago to deepen our impact and expand our reach to additional students in neighborhoods all across Chicago. So, it is with that in mind, that we ask you to consider a donation to the 2020 Ripples of Hope Dinner as a fully-tax deductible contribution to CYC.

All of us at City Year Chicago are grateful for your consideration and hopeful that you will stay with us and the students we benefit.  It is certainly more important now than ever before.

If possible, kindly consider check or wire transfer payments for gifts of $5,000+.

Please send payments to:
